Family-owned and operated since the early 1950s!Ralph Bradley opened his first furniture store in downtown Salt Lake City in the 1950s. (We have found newspaper clippings from Bradley-Badger Furniture sales as early as 1953). He quickly developed a reputation as having one of Salt Lake’s best little furniture stores. In the late 1970's Mr. Bradley decided to focus on sleep related products and built a 40,000 square foot Sleep Center in Murray Utah. At the time Bradley’s Sleep Center was the largest Mattress shop west of the Mississippi. Soon Bradley's became known as the premier destination for sleep related products in the Intermountain West.
Mr. Bradley and his wife had 14 children, many of which learned lessons from working hard at the store. Mr. Bradley later left the daily operations of the Sleep Center to his sons. In the late 1990s after Mr. Bradley retired to spend more time serving religious missions for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, one of his sons along with a long-time employee Chad Downs took over the business. They opened up a second location in 1991 in South Salt Lake City which is the current location of the business today. In 1997, the last Bradley Still involved retired out of the business and Chad and his wife Lesa became the sole owners.
As the Water Bed era began to slow, Chad and Lesa focused intensively on updating to Innerspring and Latex Foam Mattresses in the South Salt Lake store. Later, to compete with surrounding furniture shops, Bradley's immediately started to diversify from just selling sleep related products and became a full line furniture store- even featuring several builders from the Salt Lake area. Today, Bradley's has focused on an excellent display of locally-built handmade Rustic and Log Furniture as well as the best mattresses available on the market at affordable price points. Chad and Lesa's son Matt began working as a delivery man in High School and since has managed the business for 20 years. Even though the Downs’ are not directly related to the original Bradley’s, we like to think of our store as a third generation family-owned business and hope you will get that vibe when you shop with us!

Best service! The owner of the store was patient, friendly, and helpful. He listened to our criteria in furniture and took us around to the pieces he felt would match our tastes. He was completely honest about the pros and cons of each item and seemed genuinely concerned about our satisfaction with his products. Very friendly, knowledgeable sales staff. Family owned, local, small business. They didn't upsell, we got exactly what we needed and wanted, for the best price available anywhere plus best delivery deal. I Wish we could furnish every room buying from them, but not into the rustic style for our space. Great mattress prices though :)

We shopped several places before going to Bradley's. Everyone else reminded me of a used car salesman. Bradley's was different. Matt knows and understands customer service. We were so impressed. We found a great mattress in our budget and are sleeping dreamily each night! Go to Bradley's first and save yourself a lot of time and hassle.

Wonderful Store!!! When we first walked in we didn't know what to expect but quickly felt the warmth from the staff and their selection is incredible. We have a cabin in Park City, UT, and found more rustic beds than we imagined possible. They customized a couple pieces to fit the needs of the rooms we have and we we also able to furnish our living room, and dining room at the same time. They truly had the best selection in Salt Lake and Park City combined and their pricing was exceptionally good as well. It was the perfect one stop shop for all of our rooms and their service was great. Would recommend to anyone!!!

box that I bought wouldn't fit in my car, but the salesman (who didn't
do deliveries) offered to bring the box spring to my house after he was
off work for the day. Thanks for a great experience and product!
