"Utah's Rustic and Sleep Specialists"

Company history

Ralph Bradley opened his first furniture store in downtown Salt Lake City in the 1950s.  He quickly developed a reputation as having one of Salt Lake’s best little furniture stores.

In the late 1970's Mr. Bradley decided to focus on sleep related products and built a 40,000 square foot Sleep Center in Murray Utah.  At the time Bradley’s Sleep Center was the largest Sleep Center west of the Mississippi.  Soon Bradley's became known as the premier destination for sleep related products in the Intermountain West.  In the late 1970's into the early 1980's, Bradley's sold more waterbeds than any other store in the Intermountain West.

Mr. Bradley and his wife had 14 children, many of which learned  lessons from working hard at the store.  Mr. Bradley later left the daily operations of the Sleep Center to his sons.  In the late 1990s after Mr. Bradley retired, one of his sons along with a long time employee Chad Downs took over the business. They opened up a second location in 1991 in South Salt Lake City, which is the current location of the business today. In 1997, the last Bradley in the mattress business left the company to Chad and his wife, Lesa. Together, they are now the owners of the one remaining Bradley's Sleep Etc., located in Salt Lake.

As the Water Bed era began to slow, Chad and Lesa focused intensively on updating to innerspring mattresses in the South Salt Lake store. Later, to compete with surrounding furniture shops, Bradley's immediately started to diversify from just selling sleep related products and became a full line furniture store. Today, Bradley's has focused on an excellent display of Rustic and Log Furniture, and work with several builders in the Salt Lake Valley that can customize almost every piece of furniture. Now, Chad and Lesa's son Matt works at the store as a salesman with many other experienced and helpful employees trained to make mattress shopping and rustic shopping an enjoyable experience.

Still, over the years Bradley's Sleep Etc. has maintained its expertise in selling the best brand mattresses at incredibly low prices. Today, Bradley's showroom still consists of thirty of the market's top selling matteresses and plenty of furniture to fill up your house. It truly is  the one-stop shop to getting a great night sleep as well as home furnishings!

Really Fun Furniture and Excellent Mattresses!

This is such a fun store to visit! They have really focused on rustic couches and beds and great prices. After looking online, I found my exact bed that I puchased for $1000 more at blackforestdecor.com! Also, I bought a Serta Perfect Sleeper Queen mattress for much, much, much cheaper than any other store we visted that day, and after sleeping on it for a few weeks, it is amazing! As the other reviews mention, this place is a great value and has great sales staff. I usually do not spend time writing reviews, but this company deserves it! And, to top it off, they are a local family run company! Bradleys gets my 5 star rating easily!

Great mattresses at a great price!!

A few weeks ago we were shopping for a new mattress set and I did some research on the internet to find the best price and quality mattresses in town before we wasted a weekend running around town being pressured by cheesy salespeople. This place is one of the first few that came up on a search. The salesman was super knowledgeable and very helpful. We got our mattress delivered only a couple days later and LOVE it - high quality mattress without the high quality price (Restonic was the brand we ended up purchasing, which is a local mattress manufacturer). If you're in the SLC area and in the market for a new mattress, definitely give these guys a visit. Their prices are hundreds of dollars lower than the competitors (i.e., RC Willey right across the street) and their staff knows the products well.

Great Family Owned Store

I found Bradleys Sleep when I was looking at mattresses at RC Willey. I knew that I had heard about them from 30 years back, but I didnt know they were still in business. When I went in I found a lot of different mattresses at better prices than I saw at other stores. I decided to try them out and have been enjoying my sleep ever since. Bradley's is a great place to shop...I'd highly recommend it!

My salesman was a huge help- I talked with Chad Downs. He was very knowledgeable about latex mattresses and convinced me! I have never slept better in my life, even from when I was a kid. I would definitely recommend checking Bradleys out!

I was at RC Willey looking for a new mattress and saw Bradleys across the street. I checked it out and found a really great deal on a Serta Perfect Sleeper...RC Willeys price on the same mattress was $400 more! Great service, and a great sleep so far!
